Mandela Barnes is taking on a far-right radical who opposes a woman’s right to choose and voted for a corporate tax giveaway that benefitted companies shipping jobs overseas, wreaked havoc on our supply chain, and fueled inflation.
With Barnes in the Senate, there’s a good chance that corporate Dems Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema won’t be able to hold up progressive legislation like the Build Back Better Act or demand that poison pills favoring fossil fuel interests and the hedge fund managers dirty up otherwise good bills like the Inflation Reduction Act.
