Democrats: Adopt a Climate Plan That Addresses The Existential Threat Presented By The Climate Crisis in Your 2020 Platform

Sea levels are rising and, just like with COVID-19, people will die if we don’t listen to scientists and take bold and necessary action to prevent climate catastrophe.

That’s why are joining with progressive organizations from all over the country to call on the Democratic Party to show their commitment to saving lives by committing to:

• ·Transition to 100% clean, renewable energy with zero emissions, and end the fossil fuel era.
• ·Invest massively in wind, solar, geothermal, and green infrastructure with a just transition, creating millions of family-sustaining union jobs.
• ·Guarantee the right to clean air, water, and drinking water as fundamental human rights.
• ·Fight environmental injustice and racism, directing at least 40% of climate and environmental investments to frontline and vulnerable communities.
